GUIDE
BATTLE ROYALE SYSTEM

Battle Royale Formats

  • Maximum 5 server groups per event
  • Solo 50-100 signups per group (max 500)
  • Duo (2v2) 25-50 signups per group (max 250)
  • Trio (3v3) 20-40 signups per group (max 200, Apex Legends Only)
  • Squad (4v4) 12-25 signps per group (max 125)

How Teams Compete

Once signups have been finalised the pool of teams will be randomly sorted into 'Server Groups' which operate independantly from one another. Each event can effectively be up to five tournaments in one, depending on the signup count. Each server group will be given information on how to join their custom server and compete in a series of one to five matches. The final placings are decided by the most consistent teams across all the matches played when the final tally's are done.

4SG Fee (Real Money Only)

To help maintain running costs of 4SG servers, web development and staff admin time we take 10% of the prize pool from each Battle Royale event. For example, with an entry fee of $5 per player and 100 signups, the total prize pool will be $450 that will get split between the places paid, in this case the top 25.

Places Paid

  • Placings paid are the same regardless of signup count between the min and max
  • Example: top 25 placings are paid out for a SOLO event if the server group size is 50, 62, 81, 99, etc
  • SOLO - Top 25
  • DUO - Top 12
  • TRIO - Top 10 (Apex Legends)
  • SQUAD - Top 6

RULES, TERMS & CONDITIONS

! Mandatory In-Game Recording (Real Money Events Only) !

All solo players and at least one player from a duo or squad must record their matches when competing in any real money events and keep the recordings for at least 12 days. This is to allow for investigations of cheating or match fixing. Although mandatory, it is in everyone's best interest to record their matches in case they are falsely accused of cheating, as the recording will prove their innocence. Additionally, when accusing other players or teams of cheating your own recording of events is important to have.

Signups, Start Time & No-Shows

  • Signups close 30 minutes before event start time
  • Times are in Sydney NSW (AEDT) format
  • No-shows within 15 minutes after start time will be forfeit

Conflicts, Player Conduct and Cheating

Player abuse or harrassment in any form is not tolerated on 4SG platforms (discord, social media, youtube, twitch). We run an inclusive community intended for all players whether they are long term veterans or brand new. If community members have an issue or conflict with another member please contact admins on Discord and resolve the issue privately, this includes allegations of cheating (match fixing, aimbotting, etc).

Best Practices For Players

We recommend that players join the 4SG discord server to communicate with other players or admins. The #battle-royale channel is intended for this purpose. Sometimes players will use a different name in discord, if this is the case please advertise to players and admins what your signup username in the tournament system is so we know who you are.

What Is Considered Cheating In Battle Royale

In addition to standard cheats such as aimbotting, wallhacking or other types of game hacking, Battle Royale presents new challenges for organised competitive events due the amount of players involved and how matches play out.

Players or teams working with others in the match, whether organised beforehand or during the match itself, is considered cheating. Because real money prizes are on offer this strategy gives an unfair advantage to the participating players/teams, they are more likely to place higher.

As an example, if one team decides to work with another by meeting up in the same place and not killing each other and using their numbers advantage to provide an unfair edge in their match, this is considered cheating.

Entry Cost Refunds

Due to the running costs of providing a competitive Battle Royale platform (servers, development, admin time) entry costs are only refunded if a player does not show up at the beginning of the event. In this case they will receive a forfeit and refund. However, if a player or team begin to play their matches and leaves part way through the entry cost will not be refunded. Exceptions occur during special unforseen circumstances such as mass server lag, disconnections or things that effect all players/teams participating and is up to admin discretion.
